About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Planner to join our team at Bolton & Menk, Inc. As an Aviation Planner, you will play a key role in assessing, analyzing, and documenting impacts on municipal and regional airport projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Planners, and Technicians to assess and analyze airport projects
  • Develop and document Airport Master Plans and Airport Layout Plans
  • Conduct environmental planning and natural resource management strategies for aviation projects
  • Manage complex airport planning projects, including technical analysis and documentation, public outreach, and client communication
  • Lead a team of staff members and subconsultants on airport planning projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation or Airport Management, Civil Engineering, Land Use Planning, or Transportation Planning
  • Minimum of four years of progressive experience in airport planning, including Airport Master Plans and environmental documents
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of aviation principles and strong technical writing ability
  • Strong quality assurance and commitment to task
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites and offices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS software in a planning environment
  • State Aeronautics requirements
  • Working knowledge of FAA airport design and planning principles and FAA Advisory Circulars
  • American Institute of Certified Planners certification
  • Knowledge/Experience with Part 139
