Job Description

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking an experienced Aviation Planner to join our team in providing community infrastructure solutions. As an Aviation Planner, you will collaborate with Engineers, Planners, and Technicians to assess, analyze, disclose, and document impacts on municipal and regional airport projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed Airport Master Plans, Airport Layout Plans, and environmental documents for airports, including EIS, EAs, CATEXs, and Noise Modeling.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Airport Management, Civil Engineering, Land Use Planning, or Transportation Planning from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of four years of progressive experience in airport planning and environmental management.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of aviation principles, technical writing, and quality assurance.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites, agencies, and offices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS software in a planning environment.
  • State Aeronautics requirements and knowledge of FAA airport design and planning principles.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners certification and knowledge of Part 139.
