Job Overview

This role is pivotal in enhancing the visibility and driving the growth of Odom products within retail environments.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with Sales and Supplier Managers to devise and execute brand strategies.
  • Implement brand initiatives for both on-premise and off-premise locations in alignment with Odom and supplier standards.
  • Analyze and communicate sales performance data against established sales objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to Odom management.
  • Train and mentor sales personnel on innovative plans and their execution.
  • Identify and propose local marketing opportunities for retail and on-sale accounts.
  • Coordinate and execute promotional brand activities across various account channels.
  • Conduct surveys on both on-sale and off-sale accounts in collaboration with supplier representatives and sales staff to identify successes and opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of brand specifics and training relevant to the products represented by Odom Corporation.
  • Support the sales team as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism.
  • Assist the sales team with new distribution, display setups, and point-of-sale placements.

Job Requirements

A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred, along with one to two years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, proof of auto insurance (SR-22 is not acceptable), and reliable transportation.

Experience in beverage sales and/or merchandising is preferred, along with knowledge of the local market, customer service skills, and familiarity with the distribution industry.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Candidates should be self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

Use of pallet jacks and hand carts is necessary for loading and unloading products at customer locations. Frequent lifting and/or moving of 10-25 pounds is required, with occasional lifting or pushing of up to 50 pounds.

Regular standing, walking, lifting products from floor to waist, shoulder to overhead, and using hands for handling or feeling objects is expected. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required.

Work Environment

This position is typically performed in a retail environment. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate, with occasional high levels due to external environmental factors.
