Job Description

As a Field Clinical Specialist, you will play a critical role in the TAVR field team, collaborating closely with heart centers, physicians, and hospital staff to provide clinical support for MiRus' TAVR procedures. You will be the clinical expert, possessing in-depth product knowledge and a clear understanding of heart pathophysiology and aortic stenosis patients.

Key Responsibilities

♦ Product Knowledge: You will have a detailed understanding of MiRus products and services, serving as a thought leader for physicians in the product and disease.

♦ Disease & Therapy Knowledge: As a TAVR Field Clinical Specialist, you will be an expert in aortic stenosis, possessing extensive and detailed knowledge in the disease and patient condition, and serving as a trusted resource and partner by implanters and customers.

♦ Clinical Data Expertise: You will be able to proactively apply your understanding of the latest clinical research to draw links between clinical data and the real patient setting, interpreting clinical data relating to treatment options for specific patients.

♦ OR/Cath Lab Management: In the Cath lab/OR, you will provide support during procedures and react quickly to unexpected situations, preparing devices and being familiar with OR/Cath Lab process and surgical unit team.

♦ Imaging Expertise: As an imaging expert, you will demonstrate a detailed knowledge in reading imaging data and interpreting echocardiography data, CT-scans, etc., supporting clinical decisions on valve choice and size based on imaging data.

♦ Business Acumen: In addition to deep clinical knowledge, you will have a strong business acumen, adapting your style to communicate with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, such as hospital administration, and understanding competitor products and capabilities.

♦ Customer Leadership: As a FCS, you will have foundational customer and proctor relationships, being the specialist of the patient journey and patient flow optimization, communicating benchmarks, providing advice and coaching, and being the point of contact for technical and professional education.

♦ Teamwork and Leadership: The Field Clinical Specialist will work independently but remain a key member of the territory team, understanding the TAVR organization and fostering an environment where sharing best practices is the standard.

Requirements

♦ Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field with training experience in a clinical/technical environment.

♦ Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including internal and external physician partners.

♦ Knowledge: Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and demonstrated excellence in meeting customer/patient expectations.

♦ Problem-Solving: Effectiveness in understanding complex medical cases and resolving difficult situations, with the ability to solve problems and set priorities.

♦ Self-Motivation: Self-motivation and willingness to make a difference in patients' lives, with highly professional and ethical behavior contributing to the overall success of the company.

♦ Adaptability: Adaptable and self-aware, with the ability to adjust to the dynamics of a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress Cath lab/OR environment.

♦ Technical Skills: Confident use of modern communication tools, MS Office, and willingness to learn other software programs as needed.

♦ Cardiac Anatomy & Physiology: Strong aptitude for cardiac anatomy and physiology, with experience working in cardiac Cath lab and/or operation room.

♦ Travel: Up to 80% travel required.
