Key Responsibilities- Perform histological procedures, including tissue processing, sectioning, and staining.
- Operate and maintain histological equipment, including microtomes and staining machines.
- Prepare and maintain histological specimens for examination and diagnosis.
- Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as biology, chemistry, or medical technology.
- Current licensure as a Histology Technician or Histology Technologist in New York State.
- At least one year of experience in histology or a related field.
- Competitive hourly rate of $2740.
