Job Summary
The Senior Lead Software Architect for Data Engineering will play a pivotal role in shaping the company\'s data engineering capabilities, overseeing the development and implementation of data models, ETL pipelines, and databases. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced software engineering leader to leverage their expertise in data architecture, team leadership, and technical guidance to drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Lead Software Architect for Data Engineering, you will:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data architectures that meet business requirements
- Lead the development and maintenance of data models, ETL pipelines, and databases to ensure data integrity and availability
- Provide technical guidance to developers, ensuring they adhere to industry best practices and standards
- Oversee the development and implementation of data acquisition and ingestion solutions
- Work closely with the technology team to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and applications
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, making recommendations for adoption and integration
- Collaborate with the broader technology team to support new products and initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a software engineering leader, with a solid track record of managing multiple software products
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7-10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with expertise in data architecture, team leadership, and technical guidance
- Advanced database skills, including query performance and optimization, data architecture, and Terraform/Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with modern software development methodologies, such as Scrum, Agile, LEAN, and Kanban
- Proficiency with Git and continuous integration/deployment
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones, both onshore and offshore
- Hands-on experience with AWS offerings, specifically ECS, Docker, Lambda, SNS, and SQS
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
