Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Oncology team at UT Southwestern Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse on our Inpatient Floor, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and accurately document physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments.
  • Actively anticipate patients' and/or patients' families' needs and expectations.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on assessments and patient needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
  • Current Texas (or BNE Compact State) license.
  • One (1) year of RN experience.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Professional certification in a nursing organization is preferred.
