Medical Oncology Nurse

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a skilled Medical Oncology Nurse to join our team at Clements University Hospital. As a Medical Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of cancer treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with various types of cancer, including chemotherapy administration and symptom management.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and prioritize care accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas or compact state.
  • One year of experience in medical oncology or a related field.
  • BSN degree or higher.
  • Current BLS certification.
