Job Description:
The Clinic Assistant (CA) plays a vital role in supporting our clinical team by assisting with participant care and support services within the clinic. Under the supervision of the Primary Care Provider, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse, the CA will collaborate with the PACE SEMI team to promote a safe and positive work environment. Key responsibilities include:
  • Greeting and checking-in participants for clinic appointments, including those from ancillary services
  • Coordinating and escorting participants throughout the center to designated areas at appropriate scheduled times
  • Collaborating and communicating with clinic staff, transportation, and Day Health Center team regarding cancellations, delays, and potential changes to appointments
  • Performing clerical duties such as answering phone calls, taking messages, and directing calls
  • Scheduling appointments for participants within the electronic medical record
  • Providing appointment reminder calls
  • Collaborating and communicating with transportation for the transport of participants to and from clinic appointments
  • Observing and reporting information to primary care providers and/or nurses

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office
  • BLS certification
  • Maintaining annual competencies and required trainings
  • Adhering to policies, procedures, and PACE values

Working Conditions:
This role requires physical ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and twist for prolonged periods. You will also need to be able to lift 40 pounds and may be exposed to communicable diseases.
