The Associate Provost for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion serves as a key leader in promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect at La Sierra University. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the university.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, including training programs, events, and policies.
- Collaborate with university leadership, faculty, and staff to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- Develop and maintain relationships with diverse community partners to advance the university's diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
- Provide guidance and support to students, faculty, and staff on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues.
- Monitor and analyze diversity, equity, and inclusion metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Master's degree or higher in a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion leadership or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Doctoral degree in a related field.
- Experience working in higher education or a related field.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices and trends.
- Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion assessment and evaluation tools.
- Competitive salary range: $78,192.60 to $96,000.00.
