Job Summary:

Atlantic Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work per-diem in the PACU/Preop/Phase II Recovery at the MMC Ambulatory Surgery Center in Rockaway, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and be able to work variable shifts between 6AM - 6PM. Additionally, the per diem must be willing to travel to our other surgery center in Morristown, NJ as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and complete health care records and reports in EPIC
Administer medications to patients and monitor them for side effects and reactions
Prescribe assistive medical devices and related equipment
Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions
Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members
Record patient vital signs and medical information
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
MSN preferred
BSN preferred
1+ years of experience in PACU required
Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred
Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
BLS required
ACLS required
PALS preferred
CPAN preferred
