Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in radiologic technology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine CT procedures under the direction of the Technical Supervisor and Medical Director.
  • Utilize independent judgment and necessary skills to obtain high-quality CT examinations.
  • Ensure quality patient care is delivered to all patients on a 24-hour basis, and the unit is maintained in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Complete mandatory stroke-specific training/education annually as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved Radiological Technology program.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures, and infection control.
  • Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate clinical proficiency specific to age of population served.
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, gross pathology, medical terminology, and radiologic patient positioning.
  • Proficiency in the use of all equipment and hospital information system (Affinity), the radiology information system (RIS), and PACS.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification.
  • State of California Radiologic Technologist License & Fluoroscopy Permit.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) Certification within 6 months of hire.
