Job Summary:

As a CT Radiologic Technologist at Lifespan, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) exams and operating the CT scanner. You will work with patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric patients, and demonstrate the ability to perform all types of CT exams based on established protocols. This includes head, abdomen, pelvis, sinus, neck, and chest exams, as well as lumbar spine exams. You will also be responsible for completing contrast material questionnaires, preparing patients, starting IVs, and administering contrast for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Additionally, you will set up and operate power injectors, establish and select proper protocols, and manipulate protocols as needed to fit radiologists' requests. You will also be responsible for performing special reconstruction and segmentation, operating film laser cameras, setting up oxygen and suction as needed, and using teleradiology PACS and RIS systems. You will schedule patients, ensure preps are distributed, and assist radiologists with abscess drainage and needle biopsies. You will also be responsible for placing service calls, filming exams, creating CDs, and performing non-routine views as necessary. You will maintain current CPR certification and demonstrate the ability to perform all daily functions within CT independently without a second technologist if necessary.

Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent required. ARRT (RCT) registered with current State of RI Radiographer License and current State of Rhode Island Diagnostic Computed Tomography License or ARRT (CT) with current State of Rhode Island Diagnostic Computed Tomography License. At least 3 months experience performing routine diagnostic radiology or CT exams. Current CPR certification.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit 7 or more hours, stand/squat 1-3 hours, walk 3-7 hours, and lift 10-35 pounds with good body mechanics. Moderate twisting and frequent bending required. Must be able to use both hands and wrists with frequent fine motor movement and moderate repetition. Near vision must be accurate at 20/20, far vision 20/40, and accurate depth perception with minimal color discrimination. Must hear whisper at three feet.
