Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Cambium Learning Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions optimized for the cloud environment.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure components, including networking, compute, storage, and services.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and recommend improvements to our infrastructure and processes.
  • Automate provisioning, decommissioning, and monitoring of cloud-based systems and services.
  • Implement best practices to secure infrastructure, applications, and data in compliance with our security policies.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows System administration and Linux systems administration.
  • Experience with cloud-native applications, distributed systems, and relevant architectures and internet protocols.
  • Proficiency in script development and scripting languages for AWS task automation.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions like CloudWatch and PRTG.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to train others on procedural and technical topics.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience and training) in computer science, information technology, or other relevant technology disciplines.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant AWS certifications.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems administration.
