This position is a key member of The Steelastic Company, LLC's Machine Shop team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor and be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in both machining and quality control.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Control: Ensure that all parts and materials used in the production process meet the required quality standards.
- Inspections: Perform in-process and receiving inspections for high-risk parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Machining: Set up and operate manual or CNC mills and lathes to produce products that meet or exceed design specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete quality documentation, including recording of non-conformances and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in machining and quality control; experience with CNC machines and quality control software a plus.
- Skills: Strong understanding of machining techniques, quality control principles, and safety protocols; excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
