Dental Hygienist

We are a leading Periodontal surgery office seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team on a part-time basis (2-3 days) in our office. This is an hourly (non-production based) position.
The successful candidate will support our Periodontist by providing exceptional patient care that results in optimal clinical outcomes and exceeds our patients' expectations. Our team focuses on all aspects of patient care, providing direct care to patients and assisting in surgical care.
We are looking for a fun, hardworking team player to enhance the growth of our practice while continuing to fulfill patient's oral healthcare needs. If you are passionate about patient care, treating and educating patients, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver Compassionate Care: Provide patient-centered care that exceeds patient expectations
- Review Patient Medical History: Accurately assess patient oral health condition and review medical history
- Acquire Dental Imaging: Obtain dental imaging, including radiographs, CBCTs, and 2D photographs
- Prepare for Treatment: Assemble materials and equipment in preparation for treatment and maintain adequate supplies
- Perform Dental Hygiene Procedures: Perform typical dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning, scaling, polishing, and periodontal charting
- Educate Patients: Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and preventative measures
- Administer Medications: Prepare, administer, and record medications/anesthetic in accordance with all applicable regulations
- Maintain Aseptic Technique: Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures
- Operate Sterilization Equipment: Operate sterilization equipment
- Maintain Patient Records: Maintain accurate patient records as required, maintaining confidentiality of all information in compliance with HIPAA
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned
- Active Massachusetts Dental Hygienist License: Required
- Active Massachusetts Dental Hygienist Anesthesia Permit (L): Strongly preferred
- Active BLS Certification: Preferred
