Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiology

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology team in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in Cardiology, you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, educate, collaborate, and counsel patients and families. You will assess the physical, psychosocial, and learning needs of patients and families, and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient conditions.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their physical, psychosocial, and learning needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Nursing or diploma in Nursing plus two (2) years of relevant experience in emergency or critical care nursing.
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • AHA BLS certification before the end of the orientation period.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of RN experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
