Job Title: Per Diem Cardiology Nurse

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Per Diem Cardiology Nurse to join our team. As a Per Diem Cardiology Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The Per Diem Cardiology Nurse will work in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patient responses and side effects.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania or multistate RN license through the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • AHA BLS certification prior to the end of the orientation period.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in cardiology or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
