Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to evaluate students' communication abilities and identify areas of need.
  • Treatment and Intervention: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse communication needs, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and educational settings.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust intervention plans as needed to promote growth and achievement.
  • Professional Development: Provide consultation and training to school staff on strategies for supporting students with communication disorders.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, progress reports, and therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid South Carolina state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Endorsement: South Carolina Educator Certificate with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the South Carolina Department of Education.
  • Experience: Previous experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school or educational setting preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education and speech-language services.
