Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at West Liberty Foods. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, customers, and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Rounds: Conduct regular security checks of the facility, including the perimeter, parking lot, interior plant, office, production, and shipping/receiving areas.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of all security-related activities, including truck inspections and temperature checks.
  • Communication: Operate the switchboard and provide timely notifications to staff and management as needed.
  • Emergency Response: React promptly and effectively in emergency situations, such as fires or medical alerts, and perform duties as outlined in the security procedure manual.
  • Camera Monitoring: Monitor the camera system and report any issues or concerns to management.
  • Transportation: Transport team members to company medical appointments as needed.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Age and Experience: Must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of 1 year of security experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills: Must be able to work independently, have good communication skills, and be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Google applications, including Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid and current driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Uniform and Appearance: Must wear and maintain a uniform at all times and be able to work in various climates.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Must be able to work well with others, be dependable, and have good problem-solving skills.
