Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI/ML Strategist to facilitate the coordination and implementation of our AI/ML strategy and enterprise AI/ML roadmap. The successful candidate will have experience in project management, data science, and AI/ML development, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop AI/ML systems and models * Research and implement AI/ML algorithms and tools * Select and prepare data sets for AI/ML model development * Identify and address differences in data distribution that affect model performance * Verify data quality and transform data science prototypes * Perform statistical analysis and run machine learning tests * Use results to improve AI/ML models * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AI/ML strategy and roadmap * Develop and maintain AI/ML guidance and policy documentation * Convene experts to discuss, draft, and publish AI/ML guidance and policy * Provide program management and coordination support for AI/ML strategy and roadmap activities * Ensure proper vetting of proposed products in alignment with funding and governance guidelines * Support technical data science/ML/AI execution in partnership with CDC programs and STLT partners to implement 5-7 ML/AI priority use cases * Generate standardized AI/ML presentations and documentation for effective communication of AI/ML processes, opportunities, and use cases * Develop and sustain AI guidance/policy, convening experts across CDC to discuss, draft, publish, and maintain guidance and policy documentation promoting effective and safe use of AI/ML.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree required * 6 years of experience in Programming R, Python, ML space * Experience with ML Model Life of Development and Management * Experience in Spark – Databricks or EMR * Experience in MLOps practices – MLFlow, AutoML, SparkML, ML Libraries * Experience with Cloud ML/AI Practices * Experience with SAS * Experience with MLOps Platforms: Domino DataLabs, Databricks ML * Experience with GenAI Project involvement – LLM, OpenAI * Knowledge of Cloud Engineering * Knowledge of Data Engineering * Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills
