Job Title: Healthcare Appointment Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling: Coordinate with healthcare providers to schedule appointments and maintain an up-to-date calendar.
  • Rescheduling: Inform patients and adjust the schedule as needed due to changes or cancellations.
  • Cancellation: Verify reasons for cancellation and update the system accordingly.

Patient Communication:
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding basic medical tests and procedures.
  • Provide detailed explanations and clarify any doubts patients may have.
  • Ensure patients are well-prepared for examinations and procedures by providing necessary instructions.

Financial Transactions:
  • Explain financial requirements and obligations to patients.
  • Enter payments into the practice management system.
  • Verify insurance details and inform patients of uncovered fees.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-high school education is advantageous.
  • Proven experience working in a medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to type and file accurately.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
