Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Specialist PRN to join our team at Resilient Healthcare. This role is designed for a highly motivated individual who can provide effective and client-centered services to individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for developing, recovering, or maintaining the daily living and work skills of our clients, enabling them to perform everyday tasks or activities confidently and independently.

About the Role

This is a part-time PRN position that requires flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client.
  • Select and adapt the most appropriate occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to direct interventions and maximize client outcomes.
  • Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components.
  • Assess client homes and environments and advise on necessary alterations to ensure accessibility and safety.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training on its use.
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers on strategies to support client recovery and independence.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure to practice occupational therapy in the state of employment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an occupational therapist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices, including ADLs evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
