The Loss Control department has an opening for a Loss Control Consultant. This role involves providing valuable services to our local independent agency partners, aiding them in acquiring and retaining commercial insurance clients. Responsibilities also encompass conducting comprehensive risk assessments on both existing and prospective accounts.

Positions serving territories away from our headquarters may offer remote work options.

The compensation range for this position is $55,000 - $92,500 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with our local independent agency partners and their clients.
  • Conduct risk evaluation surveys to support the underwriting process for new and renewal business.
  • Develop and sustain productive relationships with underwriters and field team associates.
  • Provide loss control services, including training, consultation, and ergonomic assessments, to existing commercial policyholders.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports that offer a clear assessment of risk and appropriate recommendations.
  • Attend field territory sales meetings as applicable.
  • Update marketing and underwriting associates on service status for the field territory.
  • Review claims and loss trends to initiate loss mitigation efforts.
  • Inform agencies about service status for their clients.

Qualifications:

Be equipped with:

  • The ability to work remotely and flexibility to travel.
  • Knowledge of commercial lines insurance products and coverage.
  • The capability to develop and conduct training programs.
  • Expertise in hazard recognition and control for workers' compensation, property, fleet, general liability, and products liability.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently to achieve goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, consultative, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and related software.

You've earned:

  • An undergraduate degree in engineering or applicable science, or related experience and training.
  • Professional designations such as CSP, CFPS, CIH, OHST, CPCU, ARM, or CRM.
