Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente's Tysons Corner Medical Center. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT examinations of patients, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Greet patients, confirm image requirements, and explain procedures to patients, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity to their concerns.
  • Medical History Review: Review patients' medical histories prior to performing CT procedures, verifying that they have signed a contrast media consent form.
  • Equipment Operation: Position patients on examination tables, monitor their condition during examinations, and introduce intravenous contrast material as directed by radiologists.
  • Image Quality Control: Control and adjust CT equipment to ensure high-quality images meet requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and examination rooms, store films, and manage related supplies.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare patient information files, submit reports showing examination details, and perform other related duties as directed.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience as a CT Technologist or registry-eligible ARRT advanced certification in CT required. Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire for new hires in this classification.
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. Graduate of a certified/accredited ARRT program required. Specialized training in computerized tomography required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Radiologic Technologist License (Virginia) required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire required. Radiologic Technologist Certification required.
Additional Requirements:
  • Continuing Education: Current on CEUs with ARRT required.
  • Physical Demands: Required to stand, push, pull, and lift patients. Ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 20 to 45 minutes at a time.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Effective interpersonal skills required to work effectively with patients and colleagues.
