Job Summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia delivery systems, equipment, and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain inventory of anesthesia machines, carts, and related supplies
  • Differentiate between various anesthesia machines and their capabilities
  • Anticipate the needs of anesthesia providers and ensure timely preparation of equipment and supplies
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, including power supplies and medical gas connectors
  • Collaborate with nursing staff on case and room turnover
  • Perform routine room setup and cleaning, adhering to infection control policies and sharps safety guidelines
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be familiar with biotechnology and monitoring equipment, as well as have knowledge of environmental health and safety policies.
