Position Summary:The Automotive Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and safety of our fleet. Responsibilities encompass performing oil changes, brake repairs, and minor engine tune-ups, along with sourcing vehicle parts and executing various repair tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess vehicle condition through inspections and diagnostic evaluations, identifying worn or damaged components.
- Ensure equipment readiness by adhering to preventive maintenance schedules and implementing component upgrades.
- Rectify vehicle issues by executing repairs, adjustments, and replacements of major assemblies and systems, including powertrains, electrical systems, and brakes.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state vehicle regulations.
- Document vehicle service and repair history accurately.
- Oversee diesel equipment operations by performing inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Class A CDL license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in supply management and inventory control, with a solid understanding of mechanical inspection tools.
- Familiarity with DOT compliance and safety regulations is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships within the operations team.
