As a Licensed Speech Therapist, your role will involve delivering speech therapy services tailored to the specific needs of students, aimed at achieving their speech therapy objectives and enhancing their overall communication skills. Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assessing, designing, and executing individualized speech therapy programs for each student based on collaboratively developed treatment goals.
  • Tracking service delivery and providing updates that enable students to reach their personal objectives and preferences.
  • Utilizing effective speech therapy methods during sessions to enhance communication skills, language comprehension, cognitive abilities, and memory while addressing the unique developmental needs of each child.
  • Preparing periodic evaluations on student progress, updating treatment teams, and adjusting services as necessary.
  • Maintaining case records in accordance with organizational policies and state regulations while ensuring familiarity with each child's history.
  • Documenting session details accurately and submitting billing information within 24 hours of service delivery.
  • Establishing clear communication with families regarding scheduling and session adjustments.
  • Coordinating with parents and related service providers to ensure the successful implementation of speech and communication goals.
  • Conducting clinical assessments and making treatment recommendations while overseeing the implementation of best practices.
  • Ensuring timely initial client intakes, regular evaluations of treatment programs, and achievement of clinical performance objectives.
  • Enhancing clinical quality standards through staff training, sharing expertise, and providing guidance to the clinical team.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and families to maximize positive outcomes.
  • Offering support and supervision to clients and caregivers as needed, including occasional travel to various locations for treatment oversight.
  • Collaborating with other professionals, such as social workers and therapists, and participating in team meetings as required.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
  • Master's degree or higher in speech pathology or a closely related discipline.
  • Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, a state speech language pathology (SLP) license.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs in educational settings and a proven track record in developing effective treatment plans.
  • Strong motivational, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and new initiatives.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant technology, including experience with computers and office software.
