Job Summary

As a Mechanical Equipment Specialist at Federal Express Corporation, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment to ensure smooth operations. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical and mechanical skills, and the ability to solve problems independently. You will work in a fast-paced environment, using hand tools and possibly power tools, and may be required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and squat. If you have a background in agriculture, automotive, or other technical areas, or if you have experience with FedEx Operations Sortation equipment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Possess basic mechanical aptitude and basic electrical and mechanical skills

Ability to solve basic mechanical or electrical problems, including understanding of basic engineering formulas

Ability to diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues visually or audibly apparent at the single component level

Effective verbal and written communication within own department to peers, managers, and outside vendors to convey basic technical data and needs

Ability to follow detailed instructions and possess time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related discipline

Related military technical experience and electrical or mechanical trade experience

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job, and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay

$22.83 per hour - $35.02 per hour
