Position Summary: Service Operations Manager

Reports To: Operations Director

Classification: Exempt

General Overview:

The Service Operations Manager is expected to comprehend client needs and expectations while facilitating their requirements. This role involves identifying leaks, developing maintenance strategies, and managing roofing assets for clients. A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial flat roofing and some residential steep slope roofing is essential. Strong customer service skills, proficiency in computer applications, and the ability to oversee a team of service crews, administrative personnel, and supervisors are crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting assessments and generating reports on roofing systems.
  • Drafting proposals for maintenance and repair services.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising service foremen and assistants.
  • Overseeing the administrative staff within the service department.
  • Managing billing, accounts receivable, and job costing for the service division.
  • Aiming to achieve revenue, gross profit, and net profitability targets for the department.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of service vehicles and inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with various departments.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in project management and time management skills to handle multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently. A minimum of 3 years of knowledge in residential or commercial roofing is required.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 training within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Familiarity with roof repair and maintenance programs.
  • Possession of a VALID Florida Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Proficient computer skills.
