Hotel Night Auditor Job Description

At MEDC: Tribal One, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hotel Night Auditor to join our team at Compass Hotel by Margaritaville in Medford, Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring their stay is comfortable and accommodating.
  • Perform quality assurance requirements for the department.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations related to personnel, security, cash handling, guest relations, and safety.
  • Act as a night manager on duty for the overnight shift.
  • Balance all credit card transactions and prepare credit card deposits.
  • Verify accuracy of all allowances, corrections, and miscellaneous vouchers.
  • Manage guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • Associate's degree or college degree (preferred).
  • One year of hotel auditing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Good reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Able to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.
  • Able to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work overnight and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evening hours as business demands.
  • Must be able to spend 50% of working time standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Pushing, pulling, and lifting objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally.
  • Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
  • Must be able to carry loads greater than 15 pounds and exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
  • Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
