Custodian Job Description

Atlas Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by removing trash, tidying furniture, and dusting surfaces
  • Sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets, vinyl, VHT, concrete, and epoxy
  • Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, showers, and restock disposables
  • Wipe mirrors and windows
  • Operate related cleaning equipment, including vacuums, mops, floor polishers, and floor scrubbers
  • Understand proper use of equipment and cleaning chemicals
  • Provide proper documentation in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's)
  • Report major damages
  • Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows, and setting up the alarm
  • Perform occasional custodial and janitorial tasks
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a custodian, janitor, or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
  • Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
  • Attention to detail and conscientiousness
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
