Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Stress Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic stress testing using exercise or pharmacologic-induced stress under the direction of nuclear cardiology physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
+ Obtain vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation) and 12-lead electrocardiographic placement
+ Assess patient's ability to walk safely and identify fall precautions
+ Monitor and document electrocardiographs as appropriate
+ Notify clinical staff of EKG changes and other safety concerns
+ Maintain laboratory inventory and equipment
+ Assist physician, NP, PA, or coworkers during stress testing as needed
Requirements
+ High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years experience in a healthcare setting with patient interaction
+ Basic interpretation of a 12-lead EKG
+ American Heart Association CPR certification required
+ Ability to use proper handling techniques of drugs and equipment
