Job Description:

S. in Civil Engineering to join our Wagman Heavy Civil team. Reporting to direct field supervision, the Intern will be assigned various tasks from management and work with the engineering team on the assigned project.

This position works alongside the entire Project Team to support the completion of assigned construction projects and ensures all plans move forward to meet projected deadlines in a safe manner.

This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.

Core Competencies:

design-build, infrastructure, marine construction, modified concrete, grooving and grinding, and geotechnical construction services.

Will support our experienced engineering team with their civil construction duties and shadow their day-to-day actions that may include, but not limited to:

  • Track and record field production quantities
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs for concrete and earthwork operations
  • Coordinating subcontractor work
  • Procuring materials and equipment for upcoming work and track quantities
  • Perform schedule updates and generating report updates of project progress
  • Perform document control tracking and processing
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts
  • Provides interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors or craft supervision

Work Environment:

Frequent standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift.

Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel occasionally throughout a scheduled work shift.

Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather.
