We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist Physician to join our team at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. As a Psychiatrist Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Consult directly with patients referred by Primary Care for behavioral health needs and coordinate care with counseling and medication management.
- Document and assess patient history, perform tests as indicated, review diagnosis, and devise a comprehensive mental health treatment plan.
- Collaborate with the primary care team, other medical and non-medical personnel, and behavioral health teams to ensure coordination and appropriate referrals for patient care.
- Supervise Clinic APPs and Social Workers in clinic services as needed.
- Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and department meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest medical technologies and best practices.
- A Medical Degree and successful completion of a residency in psychiatry.
- Board certified/eligible and state license.
- Current experience practicing Psychiatry within 2 years, preferably in a community setting.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good teamworking, leadership, and organizational skills.
