Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist Physician to join our team at Marthas Vineyard Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our adult and pediatric outpatient psychiatry services.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with patients referred by primary care for behavioral health needs and coordinate care with counseling and medication management.
- Document and assess patient history, perform tests as needed, and develop comprehensive mental health treatment plans.
- Collaborate with primary care teams, medical and non-medical personnel, and behavioral health teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Supervise clinic APPs and social workers as needed.
- Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and department meetings to drive quality improvement and patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a board-certified or eligible psychiatrist with current experience practicing in a community setting. You should possess strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A medical degree and completion of a psychiatry residency are required.
