Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at South Plains College. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for performing journeyman-level plumbing skills in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform plumbing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair to facilities and systems, including water systems, sanitary systems, and natural gas systems.
  • Utilize good communication skills to deal with customers, shop personnel, and other trades personnel within the department.
  • Work knowledge of operation and safe use of all power and hand tools/equipment to complete daily tasks.
  • Operate equipment such as drills, power saws, oxygen/acetylene torches, hand shovels, sewer snakes, and soldering and brazing equipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 2 years plumbing experience
  • Valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license and insurability
  • Plumbing license - Journeyman or above preferred
