Job Title: Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to support our plant operations in Levelland, TX. In this critical role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment, including centrifuges, conveyors, hammermills, pumps, gearboxes, and valves.
  • Conduct minor electrical repairs and general maintenance tasks.
  • Execute precision alignments, monitor heat sources, maintain pressure levels, replace belts, grease bearings, and ensure optimal oil levels.
  • Record and analyze equipment readings to predict maintenance needs.
  • Manage scheduled shutdown maintenance and service company equipment and vehicles.
  • Install and upgrade new equipment as necessary.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial plant setting.
  • Proficient in operating heavy machinery (e.g., telehandlers, forklifts, skid steers, front-end loaders, boom lifts, scissor lifts).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic plumbing skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, adhere to standard operating procedures, and communicate effectively in basic English.
  • Physical ability to climb stairs, work at heights up to 200 feet, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working with caustic chemicals and in varying temperatures and confined spaces.
  • Willingness to wear respirator protection as required.
