Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Fire Alarm Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Diagnose and repair problems with fire alarm systems, including electronic and mechanical components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to understand system designs and requirements
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for emergency service calls
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex projects and tasks
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in low voltage electrical systems, including fire alarm and life safety systems
  • Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Level II certification
