Job Description

As a Surgical Care Specialist at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of your registered nurse practice act. You will identify nursing problems related to individual patient needs, develop individualized care plans using an interdisciplinary approach, and participate in performance improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' care needs and carry out physician orders
  • Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team
  • Make staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and staff skill
  • Serve as a role model and clinical resource for staff

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing
  • One year of clinical nursing experience preferred
