Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Float Position

GI Alliance is on the lookout for a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to fill a Float position.

Position Overview:
In this role, you will deliver high-quality anesthesia care under the supervision or delegation of a physician across various site locations.

Key Responsibilities:
Essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Traveling to multiple healthcare facilities within a designated region.
  • Conducting and documenting pre-anesthetic evaluations and obtaining patient consent.
  • Selecting and administering analgesic and anesthetic agents as required for anesthesia services.
  • Managing all aspects of airway control.
  • Facilitating patient emergence and recovery from anesthesia by assessing responses and administering necessary medications and fluids to ensure stability during transfers.
  • Providing post-anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support to the cardiovascular system.
  • Ensuring adequate ventilation and oxygenation during the post-anesthesia phase.
  • Conducting follow-up evaluations and care after anesthesia.
  • Discharging patients from the post-anesthesia care unit.
  • Monitoring vital functions closely and taking corrective actions in case of adverse drug responses.
  • Concluding anesthesia in a timely manner to ensure patient safety during recovery.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required. A valid CRNA certification is mandatory, along with BLS and ACLS certifications, adhering to applicable state licensure regulations.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of progressive experience in a multispecialty physician group model is preferred.

Performance Expectations:
  • Ability to transport patients using stretchers to various locations.
  • Competence in performing as a nurse anesthetist within a clinical setting regularly.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary for providing appropriate patient care.
  • Understanding of infection prevention and control methods.
  • Knowledge of growth and development principles and the ability to assess patient data relative to their specific needs.
  • Proficient in technical (computer) skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Adherence to legal and ethical nursing standards.
  • Capability to manage conflicts and resolve issues effectively.
  • Timely response to leadership requests.
  • Completion of required documentation for billing and credentialing promptly.
  • Participation in mandatory training and educational meetings.
  • Compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Equipment Utilized:
This position routinely involves the use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Work Environment:
This role operates within outpatient healthcare facilities.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach with arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
