About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Traffic Control Specialist to join our team at Labor Finders. As a key member of our highway maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic on our roadways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Flagging and Signage: Safely direct traffic to warn of obstacles or repair work ahead, and set up signs and cones to divert traffic.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate trucks, tractors, and other equipment to sweep debris, mow grass and weeds, and remove snow and ice.
  • Asphalt Repair: Dump and spread asphalt to repair joints and patch broken pavement.
  • Drainage Maintenance: Inspect, clean, and repair drainage systems, bridges, tunnels, and other structures.
  • Material Transport: Drive trucks to transport crews and equipment to work sites.
  • Physical Labor: Perform physical tasks such as removing litter and debris, cleaning and clearing debris from culverts and catch basins, and performing roadside landscaping work.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Training: Possess knowledge and training in traffic control techniques, including flagger training and certification.
  • Safety Procedures: Understand and follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and government laws and regulations.
  • Physical Abilities: Possess the physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
  • Communication Skills: Possess effective communication skills to work with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
