Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Repair Technician to join our team at Erbe USA Incorporated. As a key member of our technical services department, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment, ensuring that our products are functioning properly and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform annual maintenance on sales representatives' demonstration equipment.
  • Prepare testing documentation and service reports for equipment worked on.
  • Conduct periodic maintenance on equipment returned from trade shows, courses, labs, etc.
  • Coordinate the return of OEM equipment to the manufacturer for repair.
  • Verify the functionality of bench testing equipment on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of parts and materials.
  • Oversee software updates, reconfigurations, and modifications on Erbe equipment as required.
  • Provide technical support and consultation to customers and sales representatives via phone.
  • Adhere to relevant technical procedures and quality system regulations.
  • Participate in the setup and breakdown of training room/equipment during customer training.
  • Contribute to the review and editing of department procedures as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate devices and accessories as necessary for all returned equipment.
  • Inspect and repair foot switches, lavage pumps, and other accessories/devices as directed.
  • Relocate products to proper technical services locations as needed.
Requirements
  • A technical degree or higher level of education in electronics or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in medical electronics repair or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small group.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete high-volume work in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to follow established protocols within a regulated environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, with a strong preference for those with high proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
