Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Customer Experience:
  • Engage with customers and patients, providing courteous, fair, and efficient service.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Operations:
  • Provide customers with fast and efficient service, recommending items for sale and suggesting trade-up and/or companion items.
  • Register customer purchases, collect cash, and distribute change as requested.
  • Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
  • Assist customers in locating products and maintain a clean and well-merchandised store environment.

Pharmacy Services:
  • Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.
  • Process prescriptions, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions.
  • Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures.

Training & Personal Development:
  • Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.
  • Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate and acquire continuing education credits.
  • Maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments.


Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills for filling prescriptions accurately.
  • Prefer good computer skills.
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Prefer PTCB certification.
