About the Role:

Nashville General Hospital is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with ophthalmic conditions or needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care for patients with ophthalmic conditions or needs across their life span.
  • Assess and document the effects of care.
  • Perform both basic and advanced ophthalmic exam techniques, including specialized testing.
  • Teach and instruct other clinic staff, medical students, and residents.
  • Provide general clinical support functions.
  • Work cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, medical, and other patient-team personnel to maintain standards for practice.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited training program for Ophthalmic Tech.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Tech or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.
  • BLS Certification Required.
  • At least 1 year experience as an ophthalmic technician preferred.
