Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician

Job Summary:

Tennessee Retina is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering high-quality eye care services.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient workups, obtain medical histories, and conduct specialized diagnostic testing
  • Travel to satellite locations to provide support and services
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms, maintaining a clean and organized environment
  • General clinic support functions, including maintaining accurate records and communicating with patients and staff
  • Must be able to perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume practice

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a medical setting
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
  • Proficient in understanding and interpreting medical charts
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask

Working Conditions:

Position functions within a normal office environment, requiring prolonged walking, sitting, and standing. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are necessary to operate office equipment. Employees must have a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record and prepare paper and electronic medical chart notes and documents.
