Millwright Technician

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for performing heavy mechanical work, including inspection, disassembly, assembly, and new installation of heavy industrial equipment and components at cement production facilities.

• Perform daily work procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings and Safety Handbooks.
• Follow all industry-related MSHA/OSHA/thyssenkrupp Polysius North America, Inc. safety procedures.
• Use overhead and/or jib cranes, forklifts, man-lifts, pneumatic tools, hydraulic tools, hand tools, and torches as required.
• Use hoists, pulleys, jacks, and come-a-longs to perform tasks.
• Signal crane operator in setting of machine parts and equipment during assembly and disassembly.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together in various body positions and assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and workpieces.
• Bolt, weld, and cut material as needed.
• Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with tool trailer and warehouse organization.
• Perform maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience as a Maintenance Technician journeyman in construction of heavy industrial equipment, cement & mining, petrochemical, power generation, or similar construction.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Punctual and having the ability to manage time independently with minimal supervision.
• Hands on and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Quality mindset.
• Must have knowledge of basic bolting, welding and flame cutting.
• Able to use hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tools.
• Operating knowledge of hoists, pulleys, jacks, and come-a-longs.
• Familiarity with basic hand signals and basic rigging knowledge including safe working load limits.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate and plan work in accordance to established schedules and procedures.
• Safety conscious; contributing to a safe working environment for oneself and all others.
