Monday through Friday (with occasional Saturdays)

Start Time:
Starting around 5 PM until completion

Compensation:
$18 to $23 per hour, commensurate with experience

Position Overview:

This role involves assisting in the seafood production facility where various types of seafood are prepared, processed, cut, packaged, stored, and shipped.

The responsibilities include preparing and processing a wide range of seafood products according to customer specifications and orders. Adherence to safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality standards is essential. The role requires maintaining an efficient workflow throughout the production process and may involve working in a cold, wet environment.

The position is collaborative, functioning as a team member within the department and organization, performing any assigned duties to best serve the company.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Cutting and visually inspecting seafood products for processing and packaging.
  • Handling various tasks, including corned beef processing, cutting beef, lamb, and poultry, meat grinding, wrapping, packaging, stocking, product rotation, cleaning, sanitation, and product stacking.
  • Reviewing production schedules, conducting safety checks on equipment, and gathering necessary supplies for tasks.
  • Preparing work areas to ensure efficient operations.
  • Securing all equipment, completing cleaning duties, and fulfilling all required documentation, including HACCP, before, during, and after assigned shifts.
  • Assembling boxes, packing, labeling, and sealing boxes for shipment.
  • Opening product cases, removing contents, and rotating stock items as directed while inspecting and maintaining meat inventory.
  • Adhering to all safety practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as per company policy.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday, 5 PM until completion (40 hours per week)
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary (this is a second shift position).
This position requires passing a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
6 months of experience in a foodservice-related role.
