- Preferred: Experience in educational food services.
- Required: Jefferson County Food Handlers Card or Serv Safe Certification.
- Must comply with background clearance requirements as outlined by state regulations.
REPORTS TO : Child Nutrition Program Manager
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Salary and benefits will be provided in accordance with the approved compensation framework. The duration of the work year and hours of employment will be determined by the system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Show dedication to and support for the vision and mission of the educational system.
- Execute tasks in the school food service facility in compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and serve meals as directed by the manager, exhibiting initiative and enthusiasm.
- Carry out custodial, dishwashing, serving area, and storeroom responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety in the workplace.
- Safely operate and maintain food service equipment.
- Present a professional appearance with appropriate non-slip footwear and uniform as determined by the manager.
- Foster effective working relationships with the manager, CNP Associates, Principal, and faculty.
- Deliver friendly and professional service to students and others.
- Be prepared to work in any capacity within the department as instructed by the manager.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and other school-related matters as per the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Engage in required professional development activities.
- Promptly report any potential issues or unusual occurrences to the CNP Manager.
- Respond constructively to feedback and evaluations from the manager.
- Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards set by Board Policy.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding school and workplace matters.
- Exemplify and uphold high ethical standards.
- Demonstrate initiative in fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
- Maintain expertise in the assigned area to achieve project goals.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and proficiency related to the position.
- Exhibit interpersonal skills to function effectively as a team member.
- Support the educational system and its objectives.
- Proactively identify potential issues or opportunities for enhancement.
- Assume other reasonable job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Ability to maintain expertise in the assigned area to achieve project objectives.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete responsibilities according to standard practices.
- Ability to apply knowledge from required food preparation, sanitation, and safety training.

Performance in this role will be assessed according to the Board's evaluation policy.
