Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Cafeteria Worker to join our team at Clay Elementary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe food service environment, preparing and serving meals to students, and ensuring compliance with Child Nutrition Program guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals to students in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe food service environment, including the cafeteria, kitchen, and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure compliance with Child Nutrition Program guidelines and regulations.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment necessary for performance of job responsibilities.
  • Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow Child Nutrition Program guidelines and regulations.
  • Ability to use technology as required to perform job responsibilities.
  • Possess and maintain required health certifications including tuberculin skin test results.
  • Strength, stamina, agility, dexterity, and acuity to perform job responsibilities safely and effectively.
  • Ability, agility and stamina to engage in prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, turning, reaching, and repetitive lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No.
